Proverbs 25:25- As cold water to a weary soul, so is good news from a far country.
Hello from Guyana:
We came in for a visit on 3-19-25, and we got back to Guyana on 4-23-25. It was good to see family, friends, and our church family again. We are thankful for our safe trip, and for all the encouragement, hospitality, and support that we received while in the States. We enjoyed being with all of you, and we are very thankful for your support, and that you are helping us in the Guyana work.
In this report I will update you about our first month back in Guyana:
Randall [Randolph] Mairam died on April 18th,2025 while we were visiting in the States. He was 73 years old and sadly died from complications from surgery. I am thankful that I was able to study with Randolph in late October of last year and that Randolph put on the Lord in baptism. We got to Guyana late on April 23rd, and we got home about 2am in the morning on the 24th [ Thursday]. The funeral was held on Friday [ 25th] at his house. There were about one hundred that attended to comfort his family and to respect and to honor his life. Please continue to remember his family in your prayers.
Plaisance Update:
The attendance has been steady since we have been back. Mother’s Day,( 5-11-25) there were 68 that came for worship. There were 29 mothers that attended with several children. I did a lesson on “Some Special Gifts that Mothers Can Give their Children.” The ladies at Plaisance have a Ladies Day planned on May 31st with over 100 ladies are planning on coming from different congregations in Guyana.
Industry Update:
We are still alternating our Sundays at Plaisance and Industry. Floyd Cato, who preaches at Industry told me that they had 34 for Mother’s Day for worship. I am helping Witfield Collins, the preacher at Plaisance with the preaching and teaching twice a month, and Floyd and the Industry congregation twice a month on Sunday mornings and at night services. Last Sunday night we had 20 that attended.
Personal Report:
Naiome and I are continuing to stay involved in trying to help and encourage both congregations. Naiome is doing a great job in helping the ladies, and helping getting them involved in the Lord’s work. The Industry congregation will be having their first ladies’ day since the congregation started in 1997 in August this year.
Thank you once again brethren for your continual support for us in the Guyana work. We are looking forward to another great year as we work together in the Lord’s work in Guyana. God bless you my friends and brethren.
In His Service,
Bruce House

Hello everyone:
Hope this newsletter finds you all doing well. As Bruce mentioned above, we had a great visit to the United States, and it was wonderful seeing family and friends. We are thankful to each and everyone of you who helped us while we were there. We are indeed truly blessed.
We have been back almost a month now and have gotten back into the groove of things. I have been teaching the ladies class at Plaisance congregation on the 2nd and 4th Friday afternoons of each month. We are working on plans for the ladies’ day at the Plaisance congregation which will be on May 31st. It’s a lot of planning and I am so proud of all the
ladies who have stepped up to help with this event. We have 149 ladies who have registered so far. Our theme for the ladies’ day is “I am my sister’s keeper”. I will talk more about it and have some pictures in our June update.
We will restart the ladies’ class at the Industry congregation in June, we meet on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. There has been a lot of rain this month in Guyana and it’s hard for people to get out as most of them walk to church. There is a lot of construction going on and lots of mud and water on the road. It floods when it rains as the drainage in Guyana is not the best.
Sunday school at the Plaisance congregation continues to do well. I want to say big thank you to Alana and Reshma, two talented young ladies that helped me with the Sunday school at the Plaisance congregation and taught while I was gone, they also assist me when we are at the Industry congregation on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month.
We are still struggling with the Sunday school at Industry. We have encouraged parents to bring their kids but so far just a few kids come with their parents for the worship service but not for bible class. I am thinking of maybe trying the Sunday school after morning services to see if that would work. We will continue to encourage and work with the Sunday school at the Industry congregation.
We had a great Mother Day celebration at the Plaisance congregation. Each mother received a gift, a rose and a snack box with cake, cookies and candy. The Sunday school kids made a craft for their moms; it was a cut out of their hands holding a bouquet of flowers. They love to do crafts.

Thank you all for your continued support and prayers for us here in Guyana.
In Christian love,
Naiome
